There’s a lot of talk about “cleaning” your PFP (Pre-Fired Paint). I am not suggesting this is an easy task. The first thing to realize is that when you are painting your PFP, you are actually doing an end-to-end paint finish. To paint your PFP, you need to remove the finish on the entire surface, including the primer, and give your paint a chance to breathe.
The reason I say this is because we don’t want to paint your PFP if you have any imperfections on the surface. You want the painting to look as good as possible and the only way to do that is to remove all of the imperfections before you paint, leaving absolutely no imperfections. After painting your PFP, clean it well with a good quality paint cleaner.
Once your PFP is completely clean and free of imperfections, you can start to apply your PFP paint. PFP paint is a water based paint that is good for almost any surface, be it a new paint job or an unfinished home. The good thing about PFP paint is that it is very easy to use, with a brush or sponge, to apply to almost any surface.
PFP can be used on a wide variety of surfaces, but if you are working with a new construction home, you can apply it to a concrete slab, an unfinished concrete base, a wooden floor, or even a cement floor.
For some reason PFP paint is not a good surface for the most part of your interior, and it can never be perfect.
If you want to get the most out of your paint job, you’ll want to keep in mind that it can never be perfect. At the very least, you don’t want to mess with the finish of your home. If you do try to mess with the finish, it is best to try it on a small section of the home, such as a trim line on a door, to see how it does.
The best way to prevent a paint job from looking totally botched is to use a primer coat. This will help you to protect the wood and paint from the elements and can really make the difference between a bad paint job and a great one. But a primer only lasts for a few months, so if you want a really durable finish you can always go with a high gloss sealer.
